There are several social media tips to promote your restaurant business. If you’ve been running your restaurant for a while, this should be pretty obvious.
One of the essential steps in successful marketing of your restaurant is to treat your customers as your well-wishers and provide the maximum eating comfort possible. Think of your customers as yourself, and about what is special and unique that you can offer. Create a tone for your social media based on this.
If you want your restaurant to be well known as the neighborhood hangout – create the right climate (or even character) that you’ll consistently use across all of your social media platforms. Post in a friendly, courteous and hospitable tone. You could, for example, use a faithful, long term waitress or barman as the face of your social media.
If you want to be known for your sumptuous food – create your social media postings around your chef (or someone posting as your chef!). Bear in mind your customer as you plan out your restaurant social media strategy.
Amongst all social media platforms, Facebook provides an incredible opportunity for restaurants to connect with their clientele. You’d seldom find a patron of yours who is not on this site – and almost all of them are checking their updates a few times a day.
Facebook is indeed a place where people go to ‘hangout’ with friends and acquaintances. Make sure you take full advantage of your cover image. Provide an 851×351 pixels to market your business, for free. Include catchy photos of your food, or people enjoying while eating with friends. You could change your cover image whenever you have a menu change, and market the new items as specials. Do not forget to include a brief description of your favorite and tasty morsels
Use lots of photos/visuals of your food. You’re in the business of food, and remember that food is a very visual thing. Be sure to include lots of images of your food in your regular social media updates.
Post exclusive offers on your social media pages. Give special offers to patrons if they “like” your Page. Give group deals to entice your Fans to share your deal with their friends – and get those friends to become Fans of your Page too. A group deal can lead to immediate increase in foot traffic into your restaurant.
Use social sweepstakes and contests on your Facebook Page. These social promotions create excitement, and a remarkable reason to get your customers coming back to both your restaurant.
If you have videos about how your food is made, or you have an interview with your chef/ food suppliers/ happy customers – include them in an update.
All good except for “easting”
